Presented by Hetty Gazzaniga, the goal of this workshop is to learn the basics of jazz technique while keeping the experience fun and engaging. Focusing exclusively on dance, with no singing involved, the session will include a 30-minute warm-up and technique segment, followed by 45 minutes dedicated to learning a musical theatre-style dance.
Hetty Gazzaniga attended Alan Foley Academy of Dance from the age of four, and Uillinn Young Dancers from her early teens, working with dance artists such as Tara Brandel, Elaine McCague and Inma Pavon. She has performed at Cork Opera House, Crawford Art Gallery, Irish Museum of Modern Art and UIllinn: West Cork Arts Centre and had her first choreographed solo at the Everyman Theatre, Cork in 2023. Hetty is currently studying contemporary dance at University of Limerick. Through college, she performed in the Glucksman Library, The Hunt Museum, Dance Limerick, The Irish World Music Academy and, with choreographer Pat Crosbie, throughout the town of Kinsale for the Kinsale Arts Festival.
