TryTryAgain is an amalgamation of works that began as performance research and collaborative exploration supported by an Arts Council Agility Award in 2021.
The research focused on the importance of dance on the brain and the phenomenon of the creation of new neurons through repetition and learning. What emerged was a documented performance film where the artist worked with a camera man, three sound artists and a dancer/choreographer, developing the collaborative aspect of her arts practice.
The project has developed in multiple ways since then including the presentation of TryTryAgain_Participation on a loop at Uillinn: West Cork Art Centre for Mental Health Awareness Day 2021 and TryTryAgain documented research film screening for Cork Indie Film Festival 2022.
This most recent and final adaptation Try,Try Again_Dance, includes a live performance and was premiered at the experimental film event Cine Salon, at the Guesthouse Projects Cork earlier this year.
