Ceiliúradh: Keynote Address by Dr. Pat Bracken

back to events

In this keynote address, Dr. Pat Bracken will explore how engaging with Ireland's history, culture, and native language can shape a practical, holistic approach to mental health and wellbeing. Drawing on his extensive experience in psychiatry and his interest in the relationship between culture, identity, and health, he will consider how reconnecting with these traditions can deepen our understanding of ourselves and our place in the world.

The talk will examine how this renewed connection can support not only personal wellbeing and inner resilience, but also foster richer relationships with others and a stronger sense of belonging within the natural environment.

Inviting reflection and discussion, this keynote offers a fresh perspective on the role of culture, community, and language in nurturing individual and collective wellbeing.
