The Secret History of Skibbereen's Alleyways (3)

There are over 20 lanes and alleyways in our town, many dating back to pre-famine times. Over the next few years we will work with local artists, historians and community groups  to research and depict the history of these ancient lanes, and create a sustainable living history of our town that will remain visible for generations to come. 

Following on from our initial murals, at Coppinger’s Lane in 2023, and the Ludgate Hub/Horse and Hound Alleyway last year, come along to the back of Abbeystrewry Hall to see Iris De Vries create number 3, a mural honouring the remarkable 19th century music collector Canon James Goodman.
