Take Me to the River is a live music event, taking place on board the beautiful ferry, Carraig Aonair, as you take a trip on the Ilen River.

Come and experience the magical sights and sounds of this ancient river and see Baltimore from a whole new viewpoint, all whilst listening to some sweet atmpspheric folk music by two of west Cork's finest performers, Molly O'Mahony and ADT.

Molly O'Mahony’s power lies in her ability to convey deep and nuanced feelings through her voice and words. Her critically acclaimed debut album ‘The House Of David’ was released in November 2022. It held the 'Album Of The Week' spot on RTE Radio 1 and was nominated in the 'Best Debut Album' category at The Hotpress Awards, 2023. She released four singles in the lead-up to the album release - Remember To Be Brave, Brother Blue, Her Song and Bittersweet- samplings which reflect the broad span of influences in her songwriting, her verbal virtuosity and her ability to convey pure feeling. In December 2023, she released ‘Extension’, an addendum to the record, which featured the RTE Concert Orchestra. In the past year she has opened stages for Mick Flannery, Damien Dempsey, Mary Coughlan, Ye Vagabonds, Susan O’Neill and Soda Blonde, to name but a few.

Molly’s voice echoes ethereally like a cherubic Patti Smith, like a celestial PJ Harvey soaring” Barry Egan, Sunday Independent

“Stunning, impressive and evocative...” Alexandra Anderson, Hotpress

“A multi-hyphenate artist..” Tony Clayton Lea, The Irish Times

“Mingling romantic vignettes with loving dedications to platonic friendships, sibling adoration and familial loyalty, her undeniably rich, soothing voice tells each story with passion, delicacy and care.” Kate Brayden, Hotpress

ADT (Alan Daniel Tobin) is a member of Irish band LOWmountain and honorary member of the legendary Interference. His two solo albums - Volume I & II - were recorded remotely in his garden cabin, and produced by multi-instrumentalist, Justin Grounds , from a little room overlooking the beautiful town of Clonakilty, West Cork.

Feels like the product of a jam between John Grant, Portishead & Thom Yorke if they camped in Wicklow for a weekend!Luke Moore - Artistic Director // Operation Lightfoot (UK)

Earthy, beguiling... Tony Clayton-Lea

Just beautiful. Really gorgeous. God it’s as lovely as anything I’ve heard in the last few years. Your voice has developed in all sorts of great ways. Pat Collins – Harvest Films
