Enliven: A Morning of Chi Kung and Chant
Join Carmel O’ Connor and Anne Marie Hynes for a gentle morning of Chi Kung, chant and song in the beautiful gardens of Killeena House, Creagh, Baltimore.
We begin with a restorative Chi Kung practice guided by Carmel. Working with the Seven Principles of Life Chi Kung, a series of slow, mindful movements, we will ease into the day, bringing body and mind into greater harmony. This simple and accessible practice helps to build energy, improve focus and cultivate a sense of calm. No experience is necessary.
From there, Anne Marie will guide us into a rich exploration of chant, soundings and song. Through simple chants, intuitive vocal expressions and moments of stillness, participants are encouraged to explore sound, allowing themselves to be met exactly where they are. Whether singing, listening or simply resting in the resonance of the group, all are welcome.
Together, these practices offer an opportunity to slow down, settle the nervous system and take time for yourself. Everything is offered as an invitation. You are welcome to participate fully, or simply rest and receive what emerges.
This workshop is accessible to people of all mobility levels. The Chi Kung movements can be adapted for seated participation, making the morning welcoming to wheelchair users and anyone who prefers or requires a more supported way of taking part.
The morning will close with light refreshments.
Ticket price: Sliding scale 15 – 25 euro.
* The gathering takes place a short drive from Skibbereen. If you don't drive, or if you have space in your car, there'll be an opportunity to indicate this when booking. We'll do our best to connect participants who would like to share lifts from Skibbereen.
