Sarah Buckley is an emerging visual artist based in North Cork, whose practice centres on visual perception and the act of looking. Through experiential and participatory artworks, she explores the complexities of sight and vision, inviting viewers to engage more deeply with how they observe the world around them. Her work often prompts reflection on the vulnerability of seeing, highlighting that vision is not purely visual—it involves the mind and body as well. Recently, Sarah has begun working with textiles, delving into themes of selfhood and the perception of difference, particularly in relation to societal notions of what is considered 'normal.'
*These workshops are supported by the Make or Break Campaign. Developed as part of the Cork County Council Creative Ireland programme in 2023, this initiative aims to enhance employee wellbeing through free creative workshops offered during workplace break times with local artists
