Performances from: Alan Daniel Tobin | How I Became A Wave

Alan Daniel Tobin
Alan Daniel Tobin (ADT) is a West Cork-based songwriter, producer and musician whose music spans the sadness and delight of everyday life. Hugely influenced by his family, the Atlantic Ocean and the wilds of West Cork, his songs carry a deep sense of place. He has released four albums (two as ADT and two with alt-folk trio LOWmountain), with his next solo offering due later in 2026. He has shared stages with Glen Hansard, Gemma Hayes and Mick Flannery amongst many others, and has appeared on RTÉ’s Other Voices and TG4’s Glór Tíre. His live shows move effortlessly between hushed intimacy and soaring atmospherics that linger long after the final note.

How I Became A Wave is the solo project of Cork-based artist Pat Carey, formerly of the acclaimed indie band, The Hard Ground. Blending literary and natural world influences with lush strings and steel pedal guitars, the music of How I Became A Wave speaks to the soul through considered lyrics and quietly rousing melodies.
