Film Play is an active fun-filled workshop for teenagers interested in acting, storytelling and filmaking.

Learn the basics of camera work, sound recording and editing. We will be creating characters and our own short story, breaking it into scenes and shooting short snippets to create a movie trailer for our idea.

Everyone will get the opportunity to operate camera and sound to frame the story and acting will be for those who reslly enjoy it. Whether you love being in front of or behind the camera, there will be a role for you!

This workshop is for teens aged 15-19 but exceptions may be made for young people with a strong and demonstrated interest in this area. Children under 18 will need parental consent to leave the venue during break.

* Feature Focus is an out of school group for teenagers (16-18 yrs) who have a keen interest in acting, storytelling and filmmaking. An 8 week course starts in West Cork this September, where we will be creating realistic characters and a story for a potential feature film, learning about filmmaking and practising our skills by making a movie trailer for our film idea.
