Nature for Learning and Well-being.

For Children aged 9-12

Meeting at 12:15pm at Skibbereen Showgrounds, Cycle Sense ReUse Workshop and Cycle Centre.

Cycle Sense will guide the group on a cycle to Liss Ard Estate

Following a packed lunch picnic, provided by Skibbereen FeelGood Festival, Sheelagh Hennessy will facilitate a 2-hour arts and outdoor learning workshop in Liss Ard gardens.

Through these outdoor activities, children will gain a deeper understanding of history, ecology, culture and stories of their local landscapes. This workshop will engage all your senses in a local wild place.

Through fun and exciting nature tasks children will be given autonomy to play with confidence in a natural landscape. Activities: Fundamental movement skills, woodland craft, nature connection, storytelling.

Bring your own bikes and water and a curious mind!

It is possible to rent a bike at the Cycle Sense ReUse Workshop and Cycle Centre at the Showgrounds if required.
