After the death of his beloved cat Ghandi, Alan takes off across Ireland for  a year and a journey of 60,000 miles into the heart of the Irish landscape exploring the nature of grief and its relationship with the land, his own losses and the people of Ireland.

Alan Cooke is a writer, poet and speaker who has been writing and exploring the relationship between our cultural lineage, the Irish landscape and its sacred etymology and our own native spirit for many year.
